Ok, in looking back at my previous blogs, it seems that I get a bit sidetracked from time to time and end up writing a novel instead of just a blurb. I guess that I just write what comes to mind and what you read is where it takes me. We have a WEEKLY family newsletter going in my family, and if you ask any of them, my entry every week is by far the longest. I just want to remember everything, so buck up, grab a Diet Coke, chips and salsa, and read on...except today won't be a long entry. Isn't Sunday supposed to be a day of rest anyway?!!
This morning I caught Will outside once again, turning on the water. I swear there are a million water taps around here at my parents house and he has found every one of them! Will is fascinated with water. So I helped him fill up his watering can and he helped water some of the flowers around. He's a handful, but a cutie. He has escaped many times to the outside, and more than likely he is down in the ravine, just to the left of the picture up above. The scary thing is that this is SNAKE season and the next door neighbor has already killed 11 snakes since the first of May!! We haven't seen any, thank goodness, but it scares me everytime I find him out there. There have also been coyote sightings. Nice!
This afternoon we went to church with my parents, and then came back for dinner with Gma Waterwheel (she and Gpa were married 68 years ago today!! Happy Anniversary Grandma) and my Aunt Martha--she is originally from Costa Rica and my boys love listening to her talk because she has a great accent! It was a beautiful evening to spend outdoors eating and visiting. There's nothing like family. Now onward on our trip tomorrow!!
I don't have a total mileage for today--really it's whatever it took to drive to church and back, plus a couple of side trips. Daren has the car now (at 10:40pm) because he went to L.A. to see his friend Mark Smith, so the miles are still racking up today.
Weather: 84 degrees, sunny... :)
