We did go to see the Grinch, but we also went to see Cindy Lou-Who, aka my niece, Chloe. She sang the song "Where are you Christmas," from the movie The Grinch Who Stole Christmas--I wish I had remembered my video camera. She is the cutest thing anyway, but she did an amazing job. After her song the Grinch came in, and together they told the story of the Grinch. They really could package up this performance and take it on the road because they both did so great.
I didn't tell the boys who the Grinch was until after his performance when they were too nervous to get very close to him. Once they figured out who he was they were ok with it...at least mostly ok. Will really wanted his picture taken with Cindy Lou Who--how cute is that?!
The morning was topped off with donuts holes and a visit from Santa. Will did not hesitate to tell Santa he wants a Polar Express train, Jake wants a life saver (light saber), and Ben got stage fright and couldn't think of anything! Darren and Heather live in the same ward we all grew up in (yes, Heather was in our ward growing up too), and as long as I can remember they have been doing Saturday morning ward Christmas parties and it's such a blast. I love that I can go back after being gone for 20 years and still see so many friends and people I knew growing up--love ya Jeff and Willie!

Ben? Stage fright? Would never have guessed! Thanks for the "coverage" of the 2nd Ward party--did the Grinch give Paul Willard a "noogie"? That's one Christmas party we'd love to get to someday!
Wow, what a contrast to OUR ward Christmas party ;o)
