After what seemed like an eternity (1 year, 6 weeks, to be exact), Daren finally
entered the glorious 40's, and is now (kind of) caught up to me. I'm totally used to the 40's now, but it always takes a little getting used to. Daren has taken it in stride, and he topped his birthday off by going on a motorcycle trip to Mexico with his good friend, Jason.
Daren made me swear to no parties for him, so it ended up to be a rather boring
40th birthday, but I don't think he minded it too much. We did have dinner
at his parent's house the Sunday before his big day, but that's about as much
partying in as he got...by choice, remember.
At our house, we blew up 40 black balloons and made him a sign--whoop-de-do!
Do we know how to throw a party around here or what?! And what b-day sign
would be complete without a ghostbuster, a titanic, and a heart?! We are not
the most creative, but we sure do love and appreciate Daren and all
that he does for us. He is a determined, strong, kind, hard working, caring,
and loving man, and we'll keep him for sure.
